Ingredients
2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
4 garlic cloves, minced (or 1½ tsp garlic powder)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tablespoon ketchup (optional, for extra stickiness and color)
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ginger (fresh grated or powdered)
1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional for flavor)
Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven:
Set to 300°F (150°C).
2. Prepare the ribs:
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs for tenderness.
Cut into sections of 3–4 ribs if desired.
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
3. Bake the ribs:
Wrap ribs in foil, place on a baking sheet, and bake for 2 to 2½ hours, until tender.
(Alternatively, you can slow cook them on low for 6–7 hours.)
4. Make the sticky honey garlic sauce:
In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, vinegar, ketchup, pepper, ginger, and sesame oil.
Bring to a simmer over medium heat until slightly thickened (about 5–7 minutes).
5. Glaze the ribs:
Remove ribs from foil and discard excess fat/juices.
Brush generously with the sauce.
Broil or grill for 5–8 minutes, flipping once and brushing more sauce, until sticky and caramelized.
6. Serve:
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Serve hot with extra sauce on the side.
