Ingredients :
8 slices thick-cut bacon
8 slices sandwich bread (white, wheat, or sourdough), toasted
2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
4–6 crisp lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg)
4 tbsp mayonnaise (Duke’s or your favorite brand)
Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions :
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels.
Toast the Bread
Lightly toast the bread slices until golden brown.
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise generously on each slice of bread.
Layer with lettuce, tomato slices, and crispy bacon.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper over the tomatoes.
Close with the second slice of bread.
Serve
Slice diagonally and serve warm with chips, pickles, or fries.
Tips
For a Southern twist, use Duke’s mayo and add a drizzle of hot sauce.
Swap regular bread for sourdough, ciabatta, or brioche for a more gourmet feel.
