Marinated Cheese Appetizer with Salami & Pickles

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

⭐ Ingredients

8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cut into cubes

8 oz Monterey Jack or Colby cheese, cut into cubes (optional mix)

4–6 oz salami, sliced or cut into small rounds

1 cup pickles, sliced (dill pickles or gherkins work best)

2–3 tbsp capers (optional)

¼ cup olive oil

2 tbsp white vinegar or pickle juice

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

½ tsp garlic powder (or 1 minced clove)

½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt & black pepper, to taste

🥣 Instructions

1. Prep the ingredients:
Cut cheese into cubes, slice the salami, and slice the pickles.

2. Make the marinade:
In a bowl or jar, whisk together:

¼ cup olive oil

2 tbsp vinegar or pickle juice

Parsley

Italian seasoning

Garlic

Red pepper flakes

Salt & pepper

 

3. Layer the jar:
Add cheese cubes, salami slices, and pickles into a clean jar.
Add optional capers if you like extra tang.

4. Pour in the marinade:
Pour the mixture over the jar contents, making sure everything is coated.

5. Chill:
Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is even better).

 

🍽️ To Serve

Serve straight from the jar with toothpicks

Add to charcuterie boards

Spoon over crackers or crusty bread
