2–3 tbsp cooking oil or butter
For the Creamy Mushroom Sauce
250–300 g (8–10 oz) mushrooms, sliced
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup (250 ml) heavy cream or cooking cream
1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth or water

1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
1 tsp dried thyme or mixed herbs
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
How to Make Pork Steaks in Creamy Sauce with Mushrooms
1. Season and Sear the Pork
Pat the pork steaks dry.
Season generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Lightly dust with flour if you want extra browning and thicker sauce.
Heat oil/butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the pork steaks for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove the steaks and set aside.
2. Cook the Mushrooms and Aromatics
In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter.
Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and begin to brown—about 5–7 minutes.
