Shrimp and Steak Tacos

Ingredients:

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
8-10 small corn tortillas
2 tbsp olive oil
Juice of 2 limes
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional garnishes: chopped cilantro, diced onions, avocado slices, salsa, sour cream

Instructions:

Marinate the Proteins:
In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Divide the marinade into two portions.
Place the sliced steak in one portion and the shrimp in the other. Let them marinate for at least 15-20 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator).
Cook the Steak:
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak strips and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and slightly charred. Remove from the pan and let it rest before slicing into bite-sized pieces.
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same pan, add the marinated shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking to maintain their juiciness.
Warm the Tortillas:
Heat the tortillas on a dry skillet or microwave them wrapped in a damp paper towel for 20-30 seconds.
Assemble the Tacos:
Layer each tortilla with a mix of steak and shrimp. Top with your favorite garnishes, such as cilantro, onions, avocado, and a squeeze of lime juice.
Serve and Enjoy:
Arrange the tacos on a platter and serve with sides like salsa, guacamole, or elote for a complete meal
